I didn't see you there! When did you get here?
My greatest apologies. I seemed to be starting this new blog and didn't realize you were already here.
Well, my friend I have been thinking, I love love love my other blog, Fear Not Little Flock because that is the perfect place to write all the sacred and spiritual experiences that I have had recently. I've decided however, that its about time I show the parts of me that you would mostly likely come to know if you met me in person, The funny light-hearted me.
Don't worry though! I'm not abandoning my little flock, I just thought you would like to be introduced more casually and personally into my life, my sphere, and the people I love.
So this blog will be dedicated to the silly and sweet, I have started collecting photos and quoted of the people I meet on the streets and have plenty of stories to tell. But first I want to give you a glimpse of who I am.
My name is Ali, I'm a stalky 20 year old with what I think is an incredible sense of humor and humility. I love the 80" and am obsessed with every and all things of that generation. It makes me happy to see the films depicting what I absolutely wish my adolescence had been like. The clothes, the jewelry, hair, music, dancing, and love stories. Its all just terribly enchanting isn't it?!
I often joke that when I die, and they make a biographical film about my life, I need the producer to understand that no, I didn't grow up dressing like Molly Ringwald, and no, I never went to detention on a saturday, nor did I ever kiss the rebel teenager of my high school, but I want my life to be just as historic and classic so please depict me as such.
It might sound a little crazy to read about a girl from a little farming suburb to make friends with the 1980's versions of Kevin Bacon, but that's who I am. And I love it. People call my the Happy Girl. And I enjoy that title so if any of you decide to be the producer of my life story please take note, because in a nutshell of things I like I enjoy the feeling of being happy.
I love roller skating and would totally have my wedding reception at a skate rink if I could! I love movies and music and big ridiculous earrings. I love singing and dancing but don't have the talent to dance like a real dancer so I often look like a robot or a child running frantically from a bee. I love to laugh about things that to most people aren't funny. I love to watch people and talk to strangers, but most of all, I love to write.
I've decided that this blog will carry to you the things that I love about my life. Because there are so many things that I could whine about, but I am alive. And I want to continue to be that happy girl, and I want to see the good, and share it with you.
Be excited because I want you to meet the kind hearts of my friends, and the scenes that make life wonderful to me.
I love you all and I hope you have the most marvelous day of days. By the way that shirt looks fantastic on you, it makes your eyes just memorizing.
Thanks for reading, I'll write again soon!
Love,
The 80's dream Queen.
